Toilet repair and installation services in Fresno and Clovis

Many toilet problems can be solved with a plunger. However, there are some that can’t. There are several problems that often arise with toilets that can be a little more than what a typical DIY’er can do. Fortunately, fixing toilets is something we do every day. As a result, we can help you when your toilet malfunctions, regardless of whether it is a or installation.

Toilet Installation and Repair Service FAQ

Signs that your toilet may need to be repaired include constantly running water, a weak flush, leaks around the base, and cracks in the tank or bowl.

It depends on the cause of the leak. If it’s a minor issue, such as a loose bolt or worn-out flapper, you may be able to fix it yourself. However, it’s best to call a professional plumber if the leak is more severe, you’re unsure of the cause, or you don’t have confidence that you can fix it.

If your toilet is clogged, try using a plunger first. If that doesn’t work, you may need to use a plumbing snake or call a professional plumber.

What are common toilet problems?

Below, is a list of common toilet problems that can’t be fixed with a plumber. In addition to be having extensive experience with all types of toilet repair, in many cases, our trucks are fully stocked with the tools, parts, and equipment needed to do a new toilet replacement, or repair job that day.

Running Toilet

If your toilet takes a long time to fill back up after flushing, it could be a faulty flapper or clogged refill valve. To confirm, make sure your water supply is open and that water easily flows back into the tank after you flush. If your flapper valve is not situated correctly, or old, water is most likely leaking into your toilet bowl from the tank. This triggers new water to refill the toilet tank when flushed and the cycle continues.

To stop your toilet from constantly draining and running, replace the worn valves, or the bad flapper.

Weak Flush

A toilet with a weak flush can be frustrating. If your toilet’s flush is weak, it could be for a number of reasons, including:

  • Your toilet tank is slow to empty and doesn’t generate the necessary suction.

  • The water level in your tank not filling high enough to create sufficient flow.

  • A wrong size or worn flapper.

  • Clogs blocking flow out of your toilet

  • Your toilet tank is slow to empty and doesn’t generate the necessary suction.

We often find that many have a weak flush because a previous owner installed a wrong flapper valve. Fortunately, our plumbers will have the right parts on hand.

Toilet Overflows After Use

Few household plumbing emergencies are more unnerving than an overflowing toilet, because of the perception of impending water damage. A toilet that overflows without being clogged does so for three reasons:

  • The refill valve is not closing even though the ball float is seating into its flange correctly, and water from your main lie continues to flow.

  • The ball float is not communicating to the refill valve to close once pre-flush water levels are reached.

  • The flapper valve is not sealing properly leading to too much water to flow from the toilet tank into the toilet bowl.

For whatever reason your toilet is overflowing, we can quickly and easily get your problem toilet repaired.

Running Toilet

If your toilet takes too much time to refill after a flush, it could be a faulty flapper or a clogged refill valve. To check, make sure the water supply is open and that it can easily flow back into the tank after a flush. If the flapper or clog or valve is not setting into the toilet flange correctly, water is likely leaking from the tank into the toilet bowl, causing new water to refill the tank.

As part of our toilet repair service, we will replace worn parts, stopping your toilet from wasting water.

Leaking Toilet Repair

Toilets can leak for a couple different reasons. In most instances it’s simply due to aging where:

  • The seal between the toilet and the floor wears out.

  • The gasket between the tank and bowl wears out.

A toilet leaking at base means the rubber or wax seal placed between the bottom, or “seat” and the floor is faulty. With enough wear, water can find a way through and out onto your floor. A leak between the bowl and tank likely means that the rubber gasket that helps the flapper valve seal the tank off may have worn down, requiring a new one to create a good seal.

Our technicians can diagnose your toilet leak, fix it, ensuring that water doesn’t end up on the your bathroom floor again.
